Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Solar Works Energy LLC, doing business as Epex Home Performance("Epex," "we," "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit www.epexhome.com, submit a form on our website, call us, or otherwise interact with our services. We respect your privacy and have written this policy in plain English so you can quickly understand exactly what we do with your information.

1. Who we are

Solar Works Energy LLC operates as Epex Home Performance from 3636 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. We are a New Mexico home performance contractor offering solar, roofing, battery storage, energy-efficient windows, electrical panel upgrades, skylights, and stucco services. This Privacy Policy applies to all data we collect through our website, contact forms, phone calls, and on-site visits.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you fill out a contact form, request a free assessment, or otherwise reach out to us, we collect:

  • Your name (first and last)
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • The services you're interested in
  • Any additional information you choose to include in the "message" field (for example, the address of the home you want serviced, your current energy bill, or specific questions)
  • How you heard about us (referral, Google, social media, etc.) if you choose to share it

If you become a customer, we additionally collect the information necessary to design, permit, install, and warranty your project: property address, roof and electrical details, utility account information for net metering, financing information if you choose to finance, and project photos.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, we use standard analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Information collected automatically includes:

  • IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device type
  • Pages visited, time spent on each page, and referring URL
  • Marketing attribution parameters appended to URLs by ad platforms (such as Google Click Identifier — gclid, UTM tags like utm_source and utm_campaign, Facebook's fbclid, and Microsoft's msclkid)
  • Cookie identifiers used by Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure performance and attribute conversions

Information we hash for advertising measurement

When you submit a lead form, we create an SHA-256 hash of your email address and phone number (one-way irreversible cryptographic transformations of the original values) and send those hashes to Google for the purpose of measuring the performance of our Google Ads campaigns under Google's Enhanced Conversions for Leads program. Google receives only the hashed values, not your plain-text email or phone.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule a free home performance assessment or service call
  • Prepare quotes, design systems, pull permits, and deliver the services you've hired us for
  • Communicate with you about your project, including appointment confirmations, scheduling changes, and post-install follow-up
  • Send service reminders, warranty information, and rebate or incentive paperwork
  • Send marketing communications (about seasonal offers, maintenance, or new services) — you can unsubscribe from these at any time, and we will never sell your contact information to third parties for marketing
  • Measure how visitors find and use our website so we can improve it and make our advertising spend more efficient
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. How we share information

We share your information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed for the purposes listed above:

Service providers we use to operate our business

  • HighLevel (GoHighLevel)— our customer relationship management (CRM) platform. When you submit a form, your contact information is stored in HighLevel so our team can follow up. HighLevel acts as a data processor under contract.
  • Google LLC— we use Google Analytics to understand site usage and Google Ads (including its Enhanced Conversions program) to measure advertising effectiveness. Where we send Google your email or phone, it is sent in hashed form only.
  • Vercel Inc.— our website hosting provider. Vercel processes visitor traffic to deliver our site and stores standard server logs.
  • Resend, Inc.— an email delivery service we use to send internal failure notifications when a lead cannot be saved to our CRM. Resend processes the relevant lead fields for the limited purpose of delivering the email.
  • Financing partners and lenders— if you apply for project financing through us, we share the application data you provide with the lender you choose.
  • Subcontractors and trade partners— we occasionally engage licensed subcontractors to deliver specific parts of a project. They receive only the information needed to perform their portion of the work.
  • Permitting authorities and utilities— for solar, electrical, and roofing work we file permits and interconnection paperwork with city/county building departments and PNM (or El Paso Electric in southern NM). These filings contain your name, address, and system details as required by law and utility tariff.

Legal disclosures

We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect our rights, property, or safety; to investigate fraud; or in connection with a business sale, merger, or restructuring (in which case the acquirer will be bound by this Privacy Policy unless updated and disclosed to you).

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing. We do not rent your email address or phone number to lead-list brokers.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our site work, to remember your preferences, and to measure traffic. Specifically:

  • Essential cookies— required for the site to function (for example, remembering form input as you fill it out).
  • Analytics cookies— set by Google Analytics to count visits, identify which pages are most popular, and measure how users navigate the site.
  • Advertising cookies— set by Google Ads to measure ad campaign performance and attribute conversions back to the ad you clicked.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can install Google's Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your information.

6. How long we keep information

We keep the information you submit through forms in our CRM for as long as you remain an active customer or prospect, plus a reasonable period afterward for warranty support and tax/legal record-keeping. Standard installation records are typically kept for at least the duration of any applicable manufacturer or workmanship warranty. Server access logs are retained for approximately 30 days. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see section 8).

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting who at Epex can view customer data, and contractual security obligations with our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work continuously to keep your information safe.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These can include:

  • Access— ask what personal information we have about you
  • Correction— ask us to fix inaccurate information
  • Deletion— ask us to delete your information (subject to legal and warranty record-keeping exceptions)
  • Opt out of marketing— unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in each message, or by contacting us
  • California residents (CCPA/CPRA)— you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@epexhome.com or call 505-460-8795. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and within any period required by applicable law.

9. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults (18 and older) who own or are responsible for residential property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, for material changes, we will provide more prominent notice (for example, by posting a banner on the site or sending an email if appropriate). Your continued use of the site after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy means you accept the updates.
